Joanne Pearce Martin, principal keyboardist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra will premiere Theremin’s Journey on Tuesday, March 16, 8 pm during a concert of the series Piano Spheres. The performance will take place at Zipper Hall, Colburn School of Music, 200 South Grand Avenue in Los Angeles. Also on the program will be works by Antheil, Frank, Hartke, Kupferman, Ligeti and Salonen (world premiere). Theremin’s Journey was commissioned by Joanne Pearce Martin and generously underwritten by Rich and Luci Janssen.
